This section provides you with tips and other FAQ on how to organise a party no matter how big or small it is. If you cannot find the answer here, feel free to email us at info@kidsparty.com.sg and we will provide the best solutions within our means and references for your problems.

  • Be prepared for latecomers

Almost always, there are latecomers to parties. Hence always have a buffer time before you start the main programme like cake cutting, magic show, etc. Since you don't want them to miss it. This is especially so if there is rain, or the party is at crowded places like East Coast Park on a Saturday evening.

To fill up the time, you can arrange for time filler programmes for the children like facepainting, art & craft and caricature. You can also download and print some of the colouring sheets and activities sheets available from this website and give to the children when they arrive.

  • Activity Sheet 1

  • What are your prices?

You can find them at http://www.kidsparty.com.sg/prices.php. We usually customise and recommend entertainment based on the age group, party type and other information of the party. So do call us for a free consultation.

  • Are your invitation cards free?

Yes, they are free. We will send to you upon request. You can also download them and print them out yourself.

  • What are the most popular kind of entertainment for children during such birthday parties?

Magic show, balloon sculpturing, Science show, games, and facepainting are our most booked entertainment. Magic show never ceases to amaze everyone at the party and it also caters to a large group, including the adults.

  • How old must the children to be able to appreciate the show?

Mr. Bottle has performed his magic for children as young as 3 years old without problem. Generally, 3 years old to 12 years old is fine. There are many good reviews that the adults enjoyed Mr. Bottle's show too despite being targeted towards children.

3-year-olds tend to imitate the older children. For instance, if the older children laugh, they will laugh. If the older children participate actively, so will the 3-year-olds. Hence magic show for an all 3-year-old group maybe tricky but definitely possible.(Best if the parents are around to guide.)

For the Science show, it is ideally for children 7 years old and above. (Professor Messy has performed his show for kids as young as 4 years old. The latter enjoys the funny bits and learn new things as well!)
  • What are the entertainment that children less than 3 years old would appreciate?

Generally speaking, they are at an age that is curious about anything. That is why things there are many toys that cater to these ages. They are at an age which is hard to make them sit still. (Which is why we will never recommend shows for them.)

I would highly recommend mascot, balloon sculpturing and facepainting (in order of my preference) themed to their favourite cartoon characters/animals.Storytelling is good for them to pick up simple words.

When booking, be sure to tell us that there are a lot of 2-year-olds in the party so we will use lots of audio and visual for the children.

  • Are clowns suitable for young children?

No, unless you intend to make them hate clowns for the rest of their life.

Ok, seriously, young children are generally scare of painted faces.Unless your child has come into contact with them frequently on TV, etc, I would recommend them only to children who are 7 years old and above.

  • Give me 3 Reasons why we should book with your Company.

We have more than 3 reasons...

1) Personality - Clients who have seen our show and our competitors agrees that it is the personality of our entertainers that sets us apart from the rest. You definitely can see the difference between an entertainer who truly want to bring joy to everyone and someone who just wants your money.

"Professional... very friendly and approachable... Value for money with good quality entertainment even for small gatherings."

-- Angeline, MOOG --

2) We love kids!

"Thanks very much for your patience with the kids on Sunday. Though your show was already over but I really appreciate you giving your attention to your fans. It was a great show!"

-- Olivia Teo, Sarah-Jane's Mum(via SMS)--

3) Appeals to adults and children
We believe our show should be like a disney movie, it's fun for the children and appeals to the adults as well.

It is not easy keeping so many 4 to 5 years old kids interested and focused on your show for 40 minutes, but you did it with flair, gusto and ease, the best thing is you looked like you were enjoying yourself at the same time. Your show is definitely worth every penny.

Truthfully, you didn't only capture the young kids' attention, you have also captured all the adults' attention. All the adults who saw your show wanted me to convey their thanks to you for making them laugh so much.

Cheryl absolutely loved you and your tricks and magic, best of all, she loved your talking cake. She too wants me to thank you, and sends you hugs.

-- Tan See Lin, Cheryl's Mum--

"Everyone in Nandini's birthday party enjoyed your magic show a lot! Even the adults were very impressed with your amazing card tricks! I personally liked the GIANT STRAW trick very much!

-- Roopa, Ardmore Park--

4) Good Service
We have seen too much bad service around and we hate that. I have personally trained our entertainers to ensure the best service for the clients and to treat everyone like kings.

5) We Entertain Kids Better

"Maho is extremely delighted with your performance especially your magic for sweets. As she is rather shy girl, your program to invite Maho to the stage was quite appropriate for her. Such inter-activeness of your show seems to be very impressive around her age. "

-- Kyoto Igarashi, Valley Park Condominium --

6) Good Service
We have seen too much bad service around and we hate that. I have personally trained our entertainers to ensure the best service for the clients and to treat everyone like kings.

7) We sign autographs for our fans free... and yes, kids love us.
We love to do that for our cute little fans...

You should start your own fan club!

-- Olivia Teo, Sarah-Jane's Mum(via email)--

7) Our shows are not too chessy

Just to let u know I attended my friend's son birthday party at Singapore Island Country Club last Sat and trust me, your kids' entertainment is so much better! My friend (the host) found (your competitor's) jokes too corny for her and i find his jokes are not very comphrensible to kids at all. Only adults would grasp it and even then, it's sometimes too corny to be funny. Your magic show was more fun!

-- Olivia Teo, Sarah-Jane's Mum(via email)--
